The icemaker in my refrigerator can’t keep up with my family. This makes ice faster than the fridge, and you can set the size of the ice. After making ice, I put it in bags and put them in the freezer.

Just what I expected from an icemaker. There are a few specific care instructions and as long as those are followed, the product works very well.

The ice maker went out on the refrigerator, I now have an ice maker I can take anywhere I want to go.? Amazing!!!

it has been working quite well for me so far

This is a pretty amazing engineering feat. They were able to fit a lot of features into a model that looked good and worked well. It arrived in great shape because it was protected by two layers of Styrofoam.
Right out of the box, it was easy to remove the tape holding it together, clean it with a damp rag, and let it sit overnight to make sure all the refrigerant settled into the right place (they recommended this, and I was used to that with other similar devices).
They said the first few sets of cubes might not be the same shape. But my first batch and the ones that followed were all perfect. I did throw away the first full bin of ice because I wanted to make sure that all of the chemicals used to make it were out of the way.
As promised, every nine minutes, it makes nine hollow bullet-shaped ice cubes. After making about 63 cubes (about 1.6 pounds), which takes about an hour, the bin is full, and the machine stops making ice on its own. The ice it makes can then be put in an ice bucket or a ziplock bag and put in the freezer so you can make more. Or, if you use it at a party or other event, it will just keep filling itself up all night. You could make more than 30 pounds of ice a day in theory, but you’d have to get up every hour to empty the bin.
One thing that surprised me was how little the ice melted in the hour after the machine turned itself off because the bin was full. Don’t forget that this is not a fridge or a freezer. When it’s done making ice, it’s pretty much just an ice bucket with insulation. But what’s cool is that if any of them melted, the system would automatically feed them back into the machine to make more ice cubes.
The unit is also not too loud. At an average of just under 60 dB, it’s about as loud as a microwave when it’s on. There’s a lot to talk about.
In short, it’s pretty fun to watch, makes really good ice, and is pretty much fully automatic, except for adding water and taking out the ice. I think this will be very popular at our holiday parties.”

I’ve had this for about 6 months, and just a few days after the product support window closed, the ice maker started making horrible noises when making ice. The noise doesn’t happen when it’s freezing or done, only when it’s filling. I’ve always kept the water full, but it still makes the noise. I turned it off for 24 hours to let it thaw, but the noise is still there. So, if you need an ice maker, this one works great, as long as you don’t mind loud grinding noises in the background!

This machine has been a blessing because it is so easy to use. Our fridge isn’t on a wet wall, so there’s no water hookup for the ice maker. Keeping up with my family’s demand for ice cubes was hard work, and I was tired of it. When this hot red ice machine showed up, everything got better. The output is great, and when the tray is full, I put the ice cubes in my freezer’s ice bucket. This way, I don’t have to buy bags of ice for my family every day. So far, great value for the money!

Our old ice maker stopped working and was too expensive to fix, so we spent $2,000 on a new one that makes ice all the time. The one we ordered keeps getting put on backorder, so we thought we’d get this one until the one we ordered finally came. My wife and I both really like this. It freezes water very quickly. We get the ice and put it in the freezer so that we can use it later. We don’t really use enough ice to make the ice maker we are waiting for worth the money. This thing is perfect for us, especially since we’ll save almost $1900 by getting it. Will probably buy another one to take with us on trips.
