This ice machine is great! My refrigerator’s ice maker has been acting up lately, but we’re planning to buy a new one this year, so it wasn’t worth getting it fixed. I bought this countertop ice maker to make up for the lack of ice, but I can’t believe how well it works! I just put filtered water into the tank and turn it on. It makes a lot of ice in a short amount of time. We were going to spend Christmas with family, so we made two 10-pound bags to bring with us. I was able to fill both ice bags in just a few hours here and there over the course of a couple of days before Christmas. (Note: You can buy a lot of ice bags on Amazon for a very low price!) All in all, the ice maker is pretty quiet, but keep in mind that it’s not as quiet as the ice maker in your freezer. I was able to work all day with its humming sound in the background because it doesn’t bother me. I strongly recommend this item! It’s one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time, and even when I get my new fridge, I’ll still use this when I need ice for cocktails and parties.

Because our icemaker stopped working, I got this for my husband for Christmas, and he loves it. It fits perfectly between our fridge and dish rack by the sink, and it can even be moved around. Only takes 7 minutes to make two sizes of cubes. You fill the unit with water and turn it on. What doesn’t get used melts back into the water bucket so it can be used again later. The noise is a bit louder than when the fridge turns on. Going to buy another one for my mother-in-law so she doesn’t have to bend over (bottom freezer) to get ice.
